Our story began in 2008 in Gainesville, Florida.

 

Maegan and Tim were students at the University of Florida - Go Gators! - and living in the same apartment complex. Maegan’s best friend/roommate and Tim worked together at the apartment complex leasing office. It was the end of summer and a few work friends decided to celebrate with a cookout. Maegan arrived with her best friend and was introduced to colleagues, including Tim. The two hit it off and Maegan was very intrigued.  Later that night, she gushed to her best friend.  

 

After the cookout, the two started chatting online, texting, trading homemade mix taped CDs, casually bumping into each other at the gym, and bonding over their Italian heritage. Tim finally asked Maegan on a date - an Italian dinner cooked by yours truly. The day arrived and Tim was very excited. The authentic menu included Italian family recipes with Tim’s personal touch and an exquisite bottle of wine. He couldn’t wait! …and Maegan was late? Maegan never showed. Tim was certain he had been stood up. However, a communication blunder due to their rich sense of humor (another thing they bonded over), Maegan was completely unaware the date was a serious invitation. This will soon become the favorite part of their story. She felt horrible. And made him an apology CD. After much convincing and a mutual understanding of the tragic mixup, Maegan and Tim had their official first date. Needless to say, it did not involve dinner or anything Italian.

 

Fast forward a few years later, Tim proposed to Maegan during a surprise helicopter ride over downtown Denver. To continue the surprise, family and friends gathered for a rooftop celebration at the [now engaged] couple’s Denver condo.

 

Choosing the location for Maegan and Tim’s wedding was the most challenging part of planning. Location #1: a large wedding in the Rockies or Location #2: an intimate wedding in Italy. After a lot of thought and deliberation, a 10-day Italian wedding vacation secured the spot at #1. 

 

…And here we are! An insanely beautiful location in the Amalfi coast surrounded by our parents and siblings! That said, we wanted to share this joyous experience you.
